I'm wondering if anything can be done to widen the time gap between the Global Command Prefix and a command. Seems a tad tight.

Increasing the values of these three options in the Advanced Settings should help there:

Speech End Timeout
Speech End Timeout Ambiguous
Speech Timeout (MS)
