I wanted to use voicebot in a game. but as the game needs hands on joystick ( Hotas )controls and the mouse / keyboard input is disabled in game so that no keyboard or mouse is used at all. This means that the voicebot profile attempts a keyboard input that the game ignores
Ok I though I will just Hotkey one of the many buttons on this hotas.
This is when I discovered hotkey is keyboard / mouse only.
So is it possible to hotkey other than keyboard and mouse ?
What wish to do is have Voicebot activate the various (push/toggle ) switches on my flight control system, the reason being I am using VR and cannot see the switches of which there are some 40 plus.
I was hoping to use Voicebot to perform actions on this system instead of keyboard or mouse actions. However when I tried to create a macro in Voicebot my hotkey choices was limited to a keyboard or mouse only (with Alt, Shift, CTL and Win Key modifiers).
My VR has inbuilt mic and so I have Voicebot set to listen, and from the log I can see the commands are heard, but the output actions from Voicebot are keyboard or mouse.
My setup is looking at my flight control system for an input but I am unable to set Voicebot to make the required actions, hence I was asking if there is any way to have Voicebot perform the flight control actions
Ok, thanks for clarifying! VoiceBot can't currently send joystick (usually DInput) buttons, but it is on our feature request list. We'll be sure to let you know if/when we're able to add it.
Oh well my bad. I guess I should have listened to those that recommended voiceattack that can do this, shame as I wished to support Voicebot further than my steam purchase, but the if/ when outlook just makes me sad as I was hoping for better.

there will never be a way to push data INTO an existing physical joystick on a windows system.
however, if you create a virtual joystick with vjoy and set your app to use that instead of your flightstick, you can feed that virtual joystick with both your flightstick data and vjoy's keyboard key to virtual button. now you have a virtual joystick which takes data from both your flightstick AND keyboard keys as joystick buttons (that can be pressed with voicebot).
no program is better than voicebot at voice recognition - ive bought them all and tried all the freeware ones. be sure that no program on windows can push data into your existing hardware gamepad's buttons unless that is built into the product itself somehow (which it hasn't). so this is NOT a failing of voicebot.
