is there a way to stop the mouse from teleporting and to just have it move from point 1 to point 2 with the mouse move command?
To clarify, you don't want it to skip right to the destination, but actually move, the same as if you were dragging it manually?

Not OP, but I also want this feature. As Keith suggests, I would like the option to have the mouse move as if it were being dragged manually, rather than teleporting.
I am building a profile for Stellaris and have discovered that some buttons don't work unless the mouse is dragged onto them - teleportation doesn't activate the buttons.
